too much news

So I am experiencing this phenomenon lately wherein I've subscribed to nearly 40 news feeds... and now I no longer surf the web... all the news comes to me... well not all of it... which is the weird part. When I had to go out and get the news... I felt like I knew where to look, like I had a sense of what was going on. I'd see the same story in a few different places and eventually feel "full". But now I devour the news, 100 articles at a time and when its over I feel like I know what there is to know from the news... but I ain't satisfied. The difference is important, technology is NOT about "efficiency and effectiveness". It is about facilitating the goals of people... Individuals and the collective.
